As reported earlier, the second regional stage of the Children's Art Festival began on July 3.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the regional stage of the festival, organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Heydar Aliyev Center, with "BP Azerbaijan" as the primary sponsor, is taking place in 26 venues across 14 cities within the 14 economic and geographical regions of our nation.
As part of the festival, a summer camp was organized for 60 children who qualified for the second stage in six nominations from the cities of Ganja and Naftalan and the districts of Dashkasan, Goranboy, Goygol, and Samukh, overseen by the Ganja-Dashkasan Regional Culture Department on the territory of Goygol National Park on July 7.
The main objective of the camp is to manage the children's leisure time effectively, facilitate networking among festival participants, and establish an environment where they can have both an engaging and productive summer vacation.
Children were involved in fun and interesting games such as football, handball, and relay races during their time at the camp. Master classes were conducted by Tarzan Sabuhi Jafarov, ashug Samira Aliyeva, singer Gazanfar Abbasov, artist Yusif Mirza, reciter Kamran Yunis, and dancer Tamilla Aliyeva. The day concluded with the children assembling around a bonfire, showcasing their individual talents.
It is worth mentioning that this three-phase festival, featuring 21 categories for three age groups (6-9 years, 10-13 years, and 14-17 years), attracted up to 27,000 applicants from all corners of our republic, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The first stage of the festival, encompassing both professional and amateur categories, was held from April to June. The second stage, scheduled for July and August, will determine those who will proceed to the final stage.
The final stage is scheduled to be held in Baku in September. The venue, date, and time of the final will be announced on the uif.az portal of the festival and through mass media.
At the end of the festival, the city or district that was most active and took part in the highest number of categories will earn the opportunity to host the festival next year.
