Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli continues meeting with the staff of theater, concert, and educational institutions to discuss current activities and future tasks.
On November 5, the Minister of Culture met with the staff of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre. He emphasized the strong traditions of the theater and the state support for the theater sector, mentioning that President Ilham Aliyev always prioritizes the development of the cultural sector: "In recent years, considerable efforts have been made to improve the material and technical resources of our theaters, to build new theaters in the capital and in the districts, to carry out major repairs and restorations, and work in this area continues. From time to time, famous artists have contributed to the Musical Theatre, where outstanding works of Azerbaijani and world drama have been performed. The theater presents interesting productions that appeal to the aesthetic sense of the audience. With the support of the Ministry, the Musical Theatre also takes part in tours in the country and abroad."
The honored artist, Aligismet Lalayev, the director of the theater, thanked the minister for the meeting with the staff and spoke about certain issues that deserve attention in addition to the achievements of the theater.
Employees of the theater, including people's artists Ilham Namig Kamal, Afag Bashirgizi, Fatma Mahmudova, honored artists Azizagha Azizov, Alakbar Aliyev, Akbar Alizadeh, Nadir Khasiyev, honored artist and conductor Fakhreddin Atayev, actors Guljahan Salamova, Eleonora Mustafayeva, Gultaj Alili, choir artists Aydan Aliyeva, Gunel Gafarova, theater artist Nabat Samadova, chief artist Vusal Rahim, and others expressed their thoughts. Members of the team shared their suggestions and requests.
The Minister stated that the reforms in the theater sector are a priority for the Ministry of Culture.
At the end of the meeting, the questions of some members of the team were answered.
