On the occasion of Victory Day on November 8, the Ministry of Culture organized a series of concerts. One of these events took place in the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after M. Magomayev.
Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, Deputy Speaker of Milli Majlis Academician Rafael Huseynov, officials, cultural figures, public representatives, and music lovers, attended the concert.
Before the concert, Academician Rafael Huseynov spoke about the importance of the 44-day Patriotic War and our glorious victory, which are bright pages of our history.
After the speeches, music took over. The Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after U. Hajibeyli, the Azerbaijan State Choir Chapel (conducted by People's Artist Gulbaji Imanova), and the soloist Honored Artist Ramil Gasimov performed under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov.
The program included F. Amirov's Azerbaijan Capriccio, F. Sujaddinov's symphonic ballad Garabaghname (libretto by Academician Rafael Huseynov), O. Zulfugarov's Rejoice, My People!, Y.N. Shafag's Victory Waltz, S. Rahimova's symphonic poem The Sound of Victory, Niyazi's Turkish March, and J. Guliyev's Soldier's March.
All musical performances were warmly applauded by the audience.
