The final declaration of the sixth World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue on the theme Dialogue for Peace and Global Security, which took place in Baku from May 1 to May 3, was published as a document of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
The information was provided by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UN.
The "Baku Process" initiative, proposed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in 2008, has been highly appreciated as an important global initiative on intercultural dialogue in the speeches of the UN Secretary-General and in the official documents of this organization. This is a recognition of the contributions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, to world peace, prosperity, and intercultural dialogue.
The sixth World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, organized by the Government of Azerbaijan in cooperation with UNESCO, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, the World Tourism Organization, and ICESCO, was attended by high-ranking guests and experts from more than 100 countries.
The forum included four plenary sessions and twelve panels on topical issues, several of which were held in Shusha and Aghdam.
