On November 4, the famous conductor, people's artist, and professor of the Baku Music Academy named after U. Hajibeylli Yalchin Adigozelov celebrated his 65th birthday. On this occasion, a meeting with the artist was held in the Ministry of Culture.
Minister of Culture Adil Karimli congratulated the musician on the occasion of his jubilee on behalf of the staff of the Ministry and the cultural community and conveyed his best wishes.
It was noted that President Ilham Aliyev and the head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, always give priority and support to the development of music and other cultural fields in Azerbaijan. The work of people who have contributed to the development of our music is highly appreciated. Yalchin Adigozelov received the honorary title of "People's Artist" and was awarded the "Shohrat" Order for his contributions in this field.
It was noted that Yalchin Adigozelov organized many premieres of classical repertoire in Baku, actively promoted the works of Azerbaijani composers around the world, and conducted extensive concert performances with symphony orchestras in Azerbaijan and abroad.
During the meeting, the jubilee was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry in recognition of his contributions to the development of Azerbaijani culture.
Yalchın Adıgozalov expressed his gratitude for the recognition of his contributions and congratulations regarding his work.
In the course of the conversation, opinions were exchanged on the prospects of the development of the musical field.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Yalchin Adigozelov has been teaching at the Baku Music Academy for almost 30 years. His students are now prominent conductors of the republic. Since 2023, the People's Artist has held the post of artistic director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra named after Niyazi, which operates under the Heydar Aliyev Palace.
