The Ministry of Culture has revised the curriculum for piano, string, and violin specialties in music and art schools. The aim of this update is to improve the practical and theoretical knowledge of students and to bring it in line with modern educational standards. An important innovation in these programs is the focus on the works of Azerbaijani composers.

The new program will provide a broader and more comprehensive curriculum for teaching musical performance, technical skills, and creative abilities. This methodology, which will be used in piano, string, and violin classes, aims to strengthen the capacity of young talents and provide them with professional musical education.

In the near future, it is planned to revise the curricula of other specialties.

The test stage of the Internship Program, carried out by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the organization of the "Culture Volunteers" Public Union, took place on November 4, 2024, at the National Library of Azerbaijan named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov.Participants responded to questions from test blocks that focused on general worldview, legislation, and logical thinking. New Events and Presentations Highlight Azerbaijan at Istanbul FairA panel discussion on New Azerbaijani Storytelling and Novel Writing was held on November 2 as part of the 41st Istanbul International Book Fair, where Azerbaijan is the “Guest of Honor.“. 41st Istanbul Book Fair Opens with Azerbaijan as Guest of HonorThe 41st Istanbul International Book Fair opened on November 2. Round Table Held on UNESCO Creative Cities NetworkIn honor of World Cities Day on October 31, the Ministry of Culture held a round table on the UNESCO Creative Cities Network at the Heydar Aliyev Center. Presentation Held on Progress within the 'e-Culture' Digital Management ModelOn October 31, a presentation on the progress achieved within the “e-Culture“ digital management model by the Ministry of Culture took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center. During the presentation, moderated by Aynur Karimova, Head of the Department of Media and Communication of the Ministry, Saadat Yusifova, Deputy Minister of Culture, emphasized that the global challenges of the next decade will be marked by rapid digitalization trends in almost all sectors, including culture. Currently, traditional cultural formats are fading as the new generation perceives culture through a digital lens. Digitization is becoming a key focus of our country's socio-economic system and is rapidly penetrating every aspect of life, including people's daily tasks. With these changes in mind, the “e-Culture digital development strategy of the Ministry of Culture“ was approved, and its implementation is underway. Over the next three years, more than 100 measures will be implemented to digitize the cultural sector and optimize processes, use a data-driven digital management model and a unified administration policy, improve information systems and resources, redesign and digitize services, improve integration capabilities, and automate internal management processes in a total of 10 priority areas. To organize the digital management process, a working group was created, and the action plan of the “e-Culture“ strategy was approved. An analysis of the current situation in all clusters identified various needs. During the timeframe of the strategy, the provision of services in the form of “full electronic service“ is 80% delivered, and other aspects have been completely resolved. At the same time, the inclusion of at least 20 comprehensive e-services of the Ministry of Culture in the register of public services, the application of a single “electronic cabinet“ system within the Ministry (www.my.culture.az) and the integration of all related resources into this “electronic cabinet“ are among the priorities. 516-year-old decree of Shah Ismail Khatai PresentedOn October 15, the decree dating back to 1508 of Shah Ismayil Khatai, the founder of the Safavid state and famous poet, was presented at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. First City Day Celebrated In JabrayilOctober 4 is one of the most glorious days in the recent history of Azerbaijan—the day when the first great victory was achieved in the Patriotic War, which symbolizes the honor and dignity of our people. Four years ago on this day, the mighty Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, liberated Jabrayil city and some villages of the district from the occupation. Meanwhile, a literary and artistic composition by the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater was presented in a special section of the exhibition hall. The composition was written by the poet and dramatist Ilgar Fahmi, the secretary of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, and included mainly the works of authors from Jabrayil district. Omarket Platform Opened at 'Baku Cinema Breeze' Festival With the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency (ARKA), the “Omarket“ platform was opened on October 3. Held for the first time in our country as part of the Baku Cinema Breeze International Film Festival, it will play a crucial role in promoting Eastern films globally. During the ceremony at the Heydar Aliyev Center, guests were first introduced to an exhibition aimed at promoting the activities of representatives of the creative industries. The exhibition brought together creative clusters such as cinema, animation, music, cultural start-ups, game technologies, fashion, design, as well as creative spaces. Baku Hosts UNESCO Conference on Silk RoadOn October 3, the “Volga-Caspian Corridor of the Silk Roads: Second Annual Subregional“ Conference, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the UNESCO World Heritage Center, with the support of the UNESCO Japanese Funds-in-Trusts and the International Institute for Central Asian Studies, began its work at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.
