Azerbaijani Delegation at Istanbul Fair Visits Monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On November 3, the Azerbaijani delegation participating in the 41st Istanbul International Book Fair visited the monument of the national leader, founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, and great politician Heydar Aliyev in the Heydar Aliyev Park in the Sariyer district of the city.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Jafarov, Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis Gunay Efendiyeva, People’s Writer Elchin, Head of Office of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Fakhri Hajiyev, employees of the Azerbaijan Culture Center in Ankara, as well as our writers and publishers.

Flowers were placed in front of the monument of the national leader, and his cherished memory was honored with respect.

The monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Sariyer district of Istanbul was completed in 2006. The monument was unveiled on July 12 of the same year with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is the "Guest of Honor" at the Istanbul Fair held from November 2 to 10 under the motto "Childhood is a Festivity."

A large stand representing our country was set up in the exhibition area under the organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
