On December 4, the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art hosted a lecture titled Restoration of Architectural Ceramics. Technologies, Examples. The lecture, delivered by Konstantin Likholat, director of the Keramarx Architectural Art Ceramics Museum and the Pallada Restoration and Production Company, addressed the challenges and intricacies of restoration and emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage. The speaker highlighted traditional technologies and materials specific to different historical periods. He spoke about his work, provided detailed information about the stages of restoration of ancient fireplaces that once adorned palaces and homes and also introduced the audience to interesting facts about the symbolism behind ceramic decorations.
At the end of the lecture, Konstantin Likholat answered questions from the audience and discussed how modern technologies can be used to preserve the historical authenticity and cultural significance of objects without causing damage.
