On June 5, Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, had a meeting with Ralf Horleman, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to our country.
Welcoming the Ambassador, the Minister spoke about the existing relations between Azerbaijan and Germany and noted that there are wide opportunities for the expansion of cultural cooperation between the two countries.
German Ambassador Ralf Horleman extended his gratitude for the reception. He expressed high appreciation for the care and attention paid to the German heritage in Azerbaijan. The diplomat suggested a project on cultural tourism related to the German heritage in the country.
The importance of developing relations between the cultural institutions of the two countries, such as libraries, museums, exhibition halls, theaters, and concert halls, was emphasized during the conversation.
During the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on the involvement of relevant German institutions in the discussions on climate change and culture planned for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in our country in November.
