8th DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival Held as Part of Baku Cinema Breeze
The eighth DokuBaku International Documentary Film Festival concluded on October 7 within the framework of the Baku Cinema Breeze Festival of the Ministry of Culture.
In 2024, DokuBaku presented a selection of thought-provoking films under the theme "iCosmos." The program consisted of 72 films chosen from over 200 entries across 36 countries, offering fascinating stories on a wide range of subjects. Categories included Best Feature Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Local Documentary, Best Children's Documentary (DokuKids), and a non-main segment.
In addition to the film screening, the festival also hosted a contemporary photography exhibition, "Changing Reality: Noises and Dreams," in collaboration with photography platform f37Union. The exhibition displayed a range of visual images focusing on themes of identity, transformation, and sustainability by local and international artists.
