Within the framework of the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the delegation of the Ministry of Culture met with the leadership of the International Center for the Study of Protection and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM).

Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, the director general of the organization, Joseph King, recalled his visits to Azerbaijan with pleasure, shared his impressions about the cultural heritage of our country, and talked about new opportunities for cooperation.

In her turn, the head of the delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Deputy Minister Saadat Yusifova expressed her gratitude with sincere words, spoke about the importance of protecting the cultural heritage for Azerbaijan, and was interested in the institutional support mechanisms of the organization in the direction of training restoration and conservation experts.

The meeting also discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda regarding the development of cooperation between our country and ICCROM, the exchange of experience in the field of protection and restoration of cultural heritage samples, and the joint organization of training and seminars for this purpose.
