The Forum "Azerbaijani Cinema 125: Reality, Challenges, and Goals", which started on April 20 under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture and the Heydar Aliyev Center within the framework of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", continues.

Along with distinguished cultural and artistic figures from Azerbaijan, the forum also includes film personalities from other countries.

Actor Azer Aydamir moderated the first panel of the second day of the film forum, which was dedicated to "Business: Principles and Mechanisms of Financing Cinema and Other Audiovisual Works" on April 21.

The panel addressed the following topics: "Improving the regulatory and legal framework in the field of cinema," "Regulating audience interest in local films," and "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio's 100-year history and prospects.

During the panel, the Chairman of the Film Directors Guild of Azerbaijan, Honored Art Worker Huseyn Mehdiyev, Director of the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio, Honored Worker of Culture Nazim Huseynov, Executive Director of Baku Media Center, Honored Worker of Culture Orman Aliyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "CinemaPlus" cinema chain Zaur Darabzadeh, "Park Cinema", executive director of the cinema chain Elnur Allahverdiyev, secretary of the Azerbaijan Union of Film-makers Ali Isa Jabbarov, and film director Emil Guliyev shared their views on the mentioned topics.

Azerbaijan will host the III Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic WorldThe 3rd Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic Worldwill be held in Baku and Shusha cities of Azerbaijan on October 8-11. The festival will be co-organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the Heydar Aliyev Center, TURKSOY, Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Baku Media Center. The festival aims to foster the unity of the Turkic world and cultural cooperation among Turkic nations and, by creating a joint audiovisual space together with the Turkic states, contribute to the integration of the Turkic nations into it. The first of the festivals organized since 2021 was held in Istanbul city of Turkiye and in Bursa city of the brotherly country, last year. Each entry was reviewed by commission members who judged it on subject matter, artistic merit, and professional creativity and assessed it according to the submitted table. At the final meeting held at the Ministry of Culture, the members of the Commission shared their thoughts on each work that stood out in the competition. According to the final decision of the commission, the winning entry was not determined because the artistic quality of the 15 works presented in the genres of novels and verse stories did not meet the requirements of the competition. VI "Animafilm" International Animation Festival has endedThe 6th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival, organized by the Azerbaijan Animation Association, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Film Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held at the Nizami Cinema Center from September 6 to 10. A total of 64 diverse animated films for both children and adults were screened over the course of five days. This year's theme of the festival was “Women's Rights“.
