The first stage of the Children's Art Festival, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Heydar Aliyev Center, in honor of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, is currently underway.

The first stage of the festival began on April 17 in 120 institutions all over the country.

The festival, comprising three rounds and featuring 21 categories across three age groups (6–9 years, 10–13 years, and 14–17 years), attracted approximately 27,000 participants from all regions and cities of the republic, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Over 2,500 experts are involved in the festival's award panel. Three experts are designated for each nomination. Additionally, 450 coordinators and 250 system administrators will be working during the festival.

To maintain objectivity and transparency during the festival, the names of the judges will remain undisclosed.

Note that the first stage of the festival, consisting of both professional and amateur categories, will be held from April to June. The second stage of the festival will take place from June to August, and the winners of this stage will earn the opportunity to compete in the final stage.

The final stage will take place in Baku in September. Information regarding the venue, date, and time will be announced on the festival's official website and through mass media.

At the conclusion of the festival, the city or district that demonstrated the greatest level of involvement and participation in numerous categories will be awarded the right to host the festival the following year.

Azerbaijan will host the III Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic WorldThe 3rd Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic Worldwill be held in Baku and Shusha cities of Azerbaijan on October 8-11. Cultural Landscape of Khinalig and “Köç Yolu” Transhumance Route was included in the UNESCO World Heritage ListThe nomination territory of Azerbaijan called “Cultural Landscape of Khinalig and “Köç Yolu” (“Transhumance Route“) has been included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. The decision was made on September 18, 2023 at the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to the nomination prepared by the State Tourism Agency, the World Heritage Area covers the surrounding grasslands used by the local population (Guba and Gusar) including the Khinalig village and the wintering areas of the Central Aran region (Absheron and Hajigabul), as well as the length of more than 200 km of historical migration route (Guba-Shamakhi-Qobustan) between them. Khamis Bakir oghlu Muradov was born on September 15, 1943, in the village of Qakhmughal, Gakh district. After graduating from Baku Secondary School No. 72, he continued his studies at the Azerbaijan State Art Institute named after M. At the final meeting held at the Ministry of Culture, the members of the Commission shared their thoughts on each work that stood out in the competition. According to the final decision of the commission, the winning entry was not determined because the artistic quality of the 15 works presented in the genres of novels and verse stories did not meet the requirements of the competition. VI "Animafilm" International Animation Festival has endedThe 6th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival, organized by the Azerbaijan Animation Association, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Film Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held at the Nizami Cinema Center from September 6 to 10. A total of 64 diverse animated films for both children and adults were screened over the course of five days. This year's theme of the festival was “Women's Rights“.
