On December 28, the ceremonial opening of the exhibition "The Only Pearl" dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of the eminent poet and public figure Khurshidbanu Natevan (1832-1897) was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan.
At the event, it was pointed out that Khurshidbanu Natavan is one of the extraordinary personalities who created valuable works in numerous fields of art and gained great esteem in society through her social commitment. In the exhibition, it was highlighted that the prominent poet contributed to enriching the cultural heritage of our country by influencing the literary environment of her time with her creative work and unique personality, which kept our classical literary traditions alive, expressed high humanistic ideas, and demonstrated profound lyricism.
During the ceremony, it was emphasized that Natavan's images, created as products of high creativity by Maral Rahmanzadeh, Ogtay Sadikhzadeh, Omar Eldarov, Altay Hajiyev, and other artists are among the most notable exhibits. Afterwards, the visitors took some time to explore the exhibition.
The exhibition "The Only Pearl" will be on display until the end of January 2023. Natavan's personal belongings, which are on display at the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan, the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan, the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature, the Azerbaijan State Theater Museum, the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery, the House Museum of Sattar Bahlulzadeh and Barda History and Ethnography Museum, her personal belongings and manuscripts from the personal collection of People's Artist Altay Hajiyev, and pieces by our renowned artists and sculptors are displayed in the exhibition.
