Sahib Hasanov, a resident of Shusha, donated to the branch the "Flowers in the Garden" carpet, handmade by his grandmother and mother in 1959, along with a mid-19th century mafrash (bedding bag).
Recalling his memories, S. Hasanov said that the carpet hung on the wall of their house in Shusha before the First Karabakh War: "When the city was occupied, we took it to Baku, considering it the most valuable possession of our family. The initials of my grandmother's name 'A' (Azat) and my mother's name 'S' (Saltanat) are inscribed on the carpet." We are happy that this carpet, a keepsake from my relatives, has finally returned to its homeland with us after many years. I think the best thing to do is to donate it to a museum. Let the tourists see the handicraft of Azerbaijani women." Roses are described in the center of the presented Karabakh carpet.
Another item that S. Hasanov donated to the museum is a century-old mafrash. He mentioned that this carpet product was used as a storage bag during the seasonal migration between summer and winter pastures.
