The "e-Culture" Digital Development Strategy (2024-2026) of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan was approved by the relevant decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The rapid penetration of digital technologies into all spheres of our country's socio-economic system and the daily activities of individuals, and their transformation into an integral part of socio-economic relations, is a determining factor in the digitalization of culture.

In this regard, the diverse activities of the Ministry of Culture, regulatory bodies overseeing the entire territory of the country, and a wide network of clusters (theatres, libraries, museums, reserves, creative industries, audiovisual and performing arts, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, cultural educational institutions, etc.) result in the generation of significant volumes of information, requiring the implementation of management through the application of a data-based digital management model.

Considering the significance of organizing and coordinating efforts in the field of digital management, a working group for enhancing digital management was established in the Ministry of Culture by the relevant order of the Ministry of Culture.

The working group conducted an analysis of the cultural sector and studied domestic and international experience in the field of digitization of culture. Through the analysis of the current situation and international experience, the group delineated goals, priority areas, primary clusters organized by areas, and modules relevant to each cluster. The "e-culture" matrix was formed with the algorithmic intersection of clusters and modules,

In line with the "Procedure for drafting, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of state programs" approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1294 of March 6, 2021, the working group for enhancing digital management in the Ministry of Culture developed and approved the "e-Culture" Digital Development Strategy (2024-2026) of the Ministry of Culture.

The action plan of the "e-Culture" strategy outlines the implementation of over 100 measures over the next 3 years across 10 priority areas encompassing the digitalization of the cultural sphere, the adoption of a data-driven digital management model and a unified administration policy, the improvement of information systems and resources, the redesign and digitalization of services, and the expansion of integration opportunities.

"Simurg" Ensemble from Azerbaijan Wins Grand Prix at the 13th Sharq Taronalari Festival in UzbekistanThe Grand Prix of the 13th Sharq Taronalari International Music Festival, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from August 26–30, was awarded to the “Simurg“ mugham ensemble from Azerbaijan. More than 300 representatives from about 80 countries took part in this year's festival, which was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, UNESCO, ICESCO, and TURKSOY. Lachin City Day Solemnly CelebratedLachin City Day was celebrated for the second time on August 26 under the organization of the Ministry of Culture and the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin region and with the support of “Baku Maintenance Service“ LLC. Maestro Niyazi’s Memory Honored in the Alley of HonorAugust 20 was the 112th anniversary of the birth of the world-famous conductor and composer, People's Artist of Azerbaijan and the USSR, Hero of Socialist Labor, and receiver of state awards, Niyazi (Niyazi Tagızadeh-Hajibeyov; 1912–1984). National Cinema Day Celebrated with Ceremony The 126th anniversary of cinema in Azerbaijan was celebrated on August 2. This important date dates back to August 2, 1898, when the first films were publicly screened in Baku. According to the order signed by the national leader Heydar Aliyev on December 18, 2000, August 2 was declared the “National Cinema Day“ of Azerbaijan. On this remarkable day, a solemn event took place at the Nizami Cinema Center under the organization of the Ministry of Culture. At the event, attended by ministry officials, cultural figures, representatives of the film community, and film lovers, guests first explored the history of our cinema through an exhibition at the Nizami Cinema Center. The Azerbaijani Carpets: Dialogue with Nature Exhibition Opened in MontenegroOn August 1, the Azerbaijani Carpet: Dialogue with Nature exhibition was opened at the Miodrag Dado Djuric Art Gallery of the National Museum of Montenegro. New Ballet Production "One Thousand and One Nights" Debuts in Beijing “One Thousand and One Nights“, the ballet by Fikret Amirov, the distinguished Azerbaijani composer and People's Artist of the USSR (1922-1984) and a laureate of state awards, continues to captivate the world stage.
