The forum on "Azerbaijani Cinema 125: reality, challenges, and goals," organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture and the Heydar Aliyev Center at the Heydar Aliyev Center, came to a close on April 21.

The final panel session, which focused on "Applying International Practices in Azerbaijani Cinema," took place in the second half of the day.

At a meeting moderated by Rufat Hasanov, Head of the Audiovisual and Interactive Media Department at the Ministry of Culture, discussions focused on the topics of "Transitioning from a Planned Economy Model to a Market Economy Model in the Film Industry," "Integration Mechanisms in the Context of International Cinema," and "Principles for Attracting Foreign Investment in the Cinema Industry."

Reports on the mentioned topics were presented by Erkin Yılmaz, Director of the Film Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Fyodor Sosnov, Executive Director of the Russian State Film Fund, Matthieu Darras, the programmer of the Cannes, Venice, and San Sebastian Film Festivals, Lala Rustamova, the General Producer of Timur Bekmambetov's "Bazelevs" Studio, Levan Nanobashvili, International Media Law and Intellectual Property Lawyer, and Guillaume de Seille, Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Sundance Festival Laureate and Producer.

After participants' questions were addressed, the two-day film forum concluded by taking commemorative photos.

Azerbaijan will host the III Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic WorldThe 3rd Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic Worldwill be held in Baku and Shusha cities of Azerbaijan on October 8-11. The festival will be co-organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the Heydar Aliyev Center, TURKSOY, Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Baku Media Center. Minister of Culture visits institutions in MingachevirAs we reported, on September 28, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli received citizens at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Mingachevir. Each entry was reviewed by commission members who judged it on subject matter, artistic merit, and professional creativity and assessed it according to the submitted table. At the final meeting held at the Ministry of Culture, the members of the Commission shared their thoughts on each work that stood out in the competition. According to the final decision of the commission, the winning entry was not determined because the artistic quality of the 15 works presented in the genres of novels and verse stories did not meet the requirements of the competition. VI "Animafilm" International Animation Festival has endedThe 6th ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival, organized by the Azerbaijan Animation Association, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Film Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held at the Nizami Cinema Center from September 6 to 10. A total of 64 diverse animated films for both children and adults were screened over the course of five days. This year's theme of the festival was “Women's Rights“.
