Salam Sarvan, Rovshan Abdullaoghlu Named Honorary Authors at the 10th Baku International Book Fair
As reported earlier, the 10th Baku International Book Fair (Baku International Book Fair 2024) will take place on October 2-8, 2024, at the Baku Expo Center, under the organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Poet Salam Sarvan and writer Rovshan Abdullaoghlu have been selected as honorary authors of the fair by the organizing committee.
Salam Sarvan is a key figure of modern Azerbaijani poetry. He is the author of the poetry collections "My words to you are not to be told to you," "I did not come; meet the road," and "Loneliness of the Statue." His poems have been translated into several foreign languages. Rovshan Abdullaoghlu is one of the most popular writers and the author of 32 books. His novel "The Man Lying on the Rails" won the international book competition "Readers Favorite" in 2020. As part of the exhibition, various events will be organized in the hall, including book presentations, book signings, readers' meetings, and panel discussions with foreign authors, with the participation of honorary authors.
Special buses will offer free transportation for visitors from the metro stations "Academy of Sciences," "28th of May," and "Koroghlu" to the Baku Expo Center. The exhibition is open from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm, and entry is free. You can check the bus schedule at this link.
