As part of the Days of Russian Culture in Baku, the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater hosted acting master classes by Alexandrina Kologriva and Nataliya Kulikova, and a vocal masterclass by Alina Ivakh on June 25. Art and acting students attended the master class where Alina Ivakh, the troupe leader of the Moscow Governorship Theater, shared her creative journey and mentioned that she not only teaches acting for vocalists but also leads master classes on "vocal therapy". Ivakh also noted that the seventh International Children's Festival will take place in Russia. She explained that "Roskonsert" invites educators and artists from various regions and abroad to participate in the festival. "We are looking forward to welcoming Azerbaijani artists to Moscow. I hope that the cultural cooperaion between Russia and Azerbaijan will keep flourishing. This is very important. Because sharing experiences always adds value," the expert added.
The guests highlighted that they watched Azerbaijani art, especially our films and plays. In the master class, discussions covered topics like authors, writers, actors, screenplays, sound issues, new generation actors, repertoire, and dramaturgy, strategies for engaging a younger audience, introducing new talent, and maintaining audience’s interest. It was noted that new plays in Russia are initially performed in regional theaters, and then directors from the capital select and present the best ones.
The guests talked about the new approaches implemented in Russian theaters and responded to the students' questions.
