On September 25-26, the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture in the Islamic World began in Doha, Qatar.
A delegation led by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, visited Doha on September 25 to participate in the event.
Adil Karimli participated in the opening ceremony of the 12th Conference dedicated to the theme “Toward renewing cultural action in the Islamic world”.
This year's event will discuss issues such as cultural policy guidelines and sustainable development indicators, mechanisms for developing the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World" program, and the expansion of joint cultural activities in the areas of fighting the illegal circulation of cultural resources.
The conference will also include consideration of the nomination document submitted by our country regarding the declaration of the city of Shusha, the cradle of culture and art of Azerbaijan, as the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World" for 2024, as well as a speech and presentation about Shusha.
