On May 10, our country celebrates the centennial of the father of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

The name of the world-famous politician and esteemed statesman, Heydar Aliyev, is linked with over three decades of Azerbaijan's history.

During both periods of his leadership in our republic, the national leader was a true supporter of our culture, taking great care to nurture its development and ensure that our rich cultural heritage and art are recognized and promoted worldwide. The memory of the brilliant leader who holds a special place in our history is always cherished by those working in the field of culture, just like all the people of Azerbaijan.

The staff of the Ministry of Culture visited the national leader's grave on May 10. Employees of the Ministry visited the grave of Heydar Aliyev and paid their respects by laying flowers before it.

The decision was made on September 18, 2023 at the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to the nomination prepared by the State Tourism Agency, the World Heritage Area covers the surrounding grasslands used by the local population (Guba and Gusar) including the Khinalig village and the wintering areas of the Central Aran region (Absheron and Hajigabul), as well as the length of more than 200 km of historical migration route (Guba-Shamakhi-Qobustan) between them. The basis of the document submitted to UNESCO is the nomadic culture of Khinalig. Khamis Bakir oghlu Muradov was born on September 15, 1943, in the village of Qakhmughal, Gakh district. After graduating from Baku Secondary School No. 72, he continued his studies at the Azerbaijan State Art Institute named after M. Aliyev (now referred to as ADMIU), specializing in directing from 1962 to 1966. In 1966, he joined the “Azerbaijanfilm“ film studio named after Jafar Jabbarli. He worked as an assistant director in the films “Land, Sea, Fire, and Sky“ (1967) by renowned director Shamil Mahmudbeyov and “For the sake of the law“ (1968) by Mukhtar Dadashov. Forecasts suggest that by the close of the 21st century, around 4,000 of these languages may vanish. However, he expressed his conviction that the Azerbaijani language would not be among these endangered languages. On the contrary, he anticipates continuous growth and development for our language. Writer and publicist Agshin Yenisey stressed the need for serious consideration regarding the scientific, philosophical, and technological responsibilities of the Azerbaijani language today. This ensures the selection and placement of competent and qualified professionals under conditions of equal opportunity, transparency, and fair competition. The competition consists of two stages, including a test and an interview. On July 16, 2023, the test was conducted jointly with the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Out of the 1026 candidates who participated in the teacher recruitment test, 511 achieved the necessary passing score, thereby earning the opportunity to proceed to the interview stage of the competition.
