Solmaz Amanova, the author of the children's book "Courageous Bear and His Friends," along with artist Iskander Mammadov and Nemat Aliyeva, the executive director of "Everest" publishing house, received certificates from the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) on April 11, 2023. The certificates were presented by Akif Marifli, the head of the Book Industry Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) started operating in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1953. It unites creators of children's literature and children from around the globe and has national sections in 81 countries.

In 2012, Azerbaijan became a member of the Board with the participation of the Republican Children's Library named after F. Kocharli under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This membership initiated a collaboration to promote children's literature in Azerbaijan.

The primary objective of the institution is to ensure that children worldwide have access to books with high artistic value. It also works towards promoting the publication and distribution of quality children's books, especially in developing countries.

Every two years, the Board arranges international conferences that bring together influential professionals who work in the children's literature and book culture industries. Additionally, the Board presents the Hans Christian Andersen Award, which is known as the most prestigious award in the field of children's literature and is sometimes called the "Little Nobel Prize." Additionally, the board creates an honor list that recognizes outstanding writers, illustrators, and translators. This list plays a crucial role in promoting children's and adolescent literature worldwide.

On this occasion, on behalf of the staff of the Ministry of Culture and the film community of our country, we sincerely congratulate the artist, who has dedicated more than four decades of his life to the development of national cinematography, and wish him good health and many more happy years full of creative inspiration. Khamis Bakir oghlu Muradov was born on September 15, 1943, in the village of Qakhmughal, Gakh district. After graduating from Baku Secondary School No. 72, he continued his studies at the Azerbaijan State Art Institute named after M. Aliyev (now referred to as ADMIU), specializing in directing from 1962 to 1966. In 1966, he joined the “Azerbaijanfilm“ film studio named after Jafar Jabbarli. He worked as an assistant director in the films “Land, Sea, Fire, and Sky“ (1967) by renowned director Shamil Mahmudbeyov and “For the sake of the law“ (1968) by Mukhtar Dadashov. Forecasts suggest that by the close of the 21st century, around 4,000 of these languages may vanish. However, he expressed his conviction that the Azerbaijani language would not be among these endangered languages. On the contrary, he anticipates continuous growth and development for our language. This ensures the selection and placement of competent and qualified professionals under conditions of equal opportunity, transparency, and fair competition. The competition consists of two stages, including a test and an interview. On July 16, 2023, the test was conducted jointly with the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
