The ninth Voice of Youth festival held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev
The ninth "Voice of Youth" Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and held from February 1 to 8, continues with a vibrant concert program and performances.
On February 4, a grand concert was held to mark the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The compositions and songs beloved by the national leader were performed by the youth at the concert held in the Heydar Aliyev Palace.
The concert also included video recordings of national leader Heydar Aliyev's address to the youth.
At the musical event, performances were given by the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble, the Avangard Chamber Orchestra, DanceAbility Azerbaijan inclusive dance company, the Aynaband rock band, and Nijat Aslanov's jazz quartet.
Young singers Nigar Jalilova, Emin Zeynalli, Zamina Rahimova, singers Yusif Sadikhov, Ravan Gachayev, Sevinj Abdinova, Yagut Khalilzadeh, ashigs Galbinur Ibrahimli, Roya Mursalova, instrumentalists Magsad Azizov, Mais Muradov (balaban), Ismayil Zulfugarov, Farid Atazadeh (tar), Farrukh Hashimli (kamancha), and others won the sympathy of the audience with their dazzling performances.
The evening's performance included a segment from Faraj Garayev's ballet "Shadows of Gobustan", the duet "Leyli and Majnun" from Uzeyir Hajibeyli's opera "Leyli and Majnun" ("What I Sigh About"), and the "Waltz" from Gara Garayev's ballet "Seven Beauties". Additionally, pieces from Arif Malikov's music for the film "The Magic Gown", Azer Dadashov's music for the film "Dream", Rauf Hajiyev's operetta "A little this, a little that", and other works were performed during the evening.
The musical evening was greeted with warm applause by the audience.
