Shahin Novrasli's music perfectly combines the traditions of the West and the East, his improvisations of jazz, European classical music, blues and folk music are distinguished by magical polyphony and incendiary rhythm.

Over the years of his successful career as a pianist, Shahin Novrasli has created his own individual style. His main features are virtuosity, masterful transitions with changing dynamics, temperament, expressiveness, organicity and compositional unity.

At the concert, Shahin performed both songs from his new album, as well as the music that inspired him as a composer.

The audience was delighted from the first notes, the creative charge of a powerful improviser and one of the most gifted pianists of Azerbaijan was transferred to it from the first minute. This concert was long-awaited for the Baku public, not without reason all the tickets for it were sold out even before the start of the festival. Shahin plays as he feels and masterfully conveys to the audience his breath and the rhythm of life, its meanings of mystery and harmony in everything.

During the maestro's musical improvisations on stage, the audience was disconnected from all thoughts and charged with positive emotions. Shahin Novrasli does not have a specific program. He goes on stage and creates beauty with his feelings through musical improvisation. Each note is not played mechanically, but flows into a harmonious chorus of a beautiful composition. This is his magic of improvisation, harmonious, beautiful, magical and memorable.

The final chord of this magical evening and the festival was a long standing ovation from the audience.

Cultural institutions were inspected in Aghstafa, Gazakh, Tovuz, and ShamkirA delegation from the Ministry of Culture, led by the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Acting Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, visited Aghstafa, Gazakh, Tovuz, and Shamkir on March 11 to evaluate the working conditions and technical resources of cultural establishments operating in the districts. The delegation inspected several establishments, including the Heydar Aliyev Center, the City Children’s Music School named after Huseyn Arif, the State Art Gallery, the Centralized Library System (CLS), the Museum of History and Local Studies, and the Culture Center in Aghstafa district. Huseynov conducted the first-ever archeological excavations in the area, discovering about 30 caves from the Stone Age period and around two thousand tools on Avey Mountain. Under a memorandum signed in 2015 between the Tokyo University Museum of Japan, the current Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology of ANAS, and the Avey“ Reserve, the Japanese and Azerbaijani experts continue archeological research in the area. As part of its visit to Tovuz district, the delegation viewed the Azerbaijan State Ashig Art Museum, the first of its kind worldwide. Valuable exhibits, showcasing the history and current state of Azerbaijani ashig art, are housed in the modern museum, which was established under the direction of President Ilham Aliyev and put into operation with his participation. Hearings on draft law on Intangible Cultural HeritageOn February 28, the Committee on Culture of Milli Majlis, the Ministry of Culture, and the Intellectual Property Agency jointly participated in public hearings of the draft law on Intangible Cultural Heritage. Ganira Pashayeva, the chairperson of the Committee on Culture, welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the Azerbaijani people have a rich cultural heritage and the preservation and promotion of intangible and tangible cultural heritage have a special place in the cultural policy of the state. She pointed out that the primary objective of the new draft law is to regulate relationships in the areas of creation, discovery, collection, research, promotion, use, and protection of intangible cultural heritage in the country. It was reported that the submitted preliminary draft comprises 4 chapters and 14 articles. The document explains a number of specific concepts, the categories of intangible cultural heritage, the scope of the law, and current legislation in the field of intangible cultural heritage. The draft also defines the goals, main directions, tasks of the state, and the mechanisms for regulating intangible cultural heritage. The document covers various aspects, including the creation of the State Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage Samples and its digital maintenance, guidelines for using samples of intangible cultural heritage, the use of names pertaining to Azerbaijan's intangible cultural heritage included in UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, funding for preserving intangible cultural heritage, and international collaboration. Ali Asgarov, a renowned vocalist, People's Artist, soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, passed away on February 23 at the age of 62. The Honored Artist Aghasaleh Nuriyev diedThe honored artist Aghasaleh Nuriyev died on February 23 at the age of 83. Aghasaleh Mammadhuseyin oghlu Nuriyev was born on March 28, 1940, in Baku. He completed his studies at the Azim Azimzadeh State Art College in 1962 and the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1973 as a muralist. First Children's Art Festival to celebrate Heydar Aliyev's 100th anniversaryThe Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the Heydar Aliyev Center will jointly organize the First Children's Art Festival to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev. The festival will comprise three stages, and professionals (those enrolled in relevant educational programs in relevant educational institutions) and amateurs (those engaged in mastering this field in various courses, clubs, or individually) aged 6–17 years will compete in three age groups (6–9 years old, 10–13 years old, and 14–17 years old).
